A borehole installation can cost anything from Tsh 165,000.00 to Tsh260,000.00 per mitre +VAT, but the drilling cost can vary more depending on the earth formation report, type of rock that needs to be drilled, the ground conditions and final Geologist and Hydrologist site survey report, these are extremely important, and it is almost impossible to plan a drilling work without a solid geological evaluation of the area, and on how deep need to be drilled and what size of diameter of borehole required, the amount of steel and PVC casing will be used, the additional equipment and other purpose-for-use related costs, mobilisation cost. The cost of the entire project can be appreciably reduced by a good preliminary geological site survey.
